Registered Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Handle and restrain pets for exams and medical procedures
• Record accurate medical records using appropriate veterinary terminology
• Assist medical team members with appointments, x-rays, and lab work
• Perform radiology with an understanding of appropriate fields
• Complete medical calculations and understand commonly used veterinary medications
• Communicate discharge instructions clearly to pet owners
• Collaborate closely with DVMs and clinic coworkers to deliver high-quality care
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and upkeep as needed

Requirements

• Successfully completed the VTNE
• Enthusiasm for Surgery and Anesthesia
• Excellent client communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Desire to practice compassionate, high-quality medicine
