Registered Veterinary Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate medical care and quality service to pets and their owners
• Obtain accurate and thorough medical histories
• Perform blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular) and place IV catheters
• Execute digital radiology, including proper patient positioning
• Assist with anesthesia induction, intubation, monitoring, and aseptic technique
• Perform dentistry tasks including digital x-rays, scaling, and polishing
• Conduct laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology, HM5, Vetscan, and Sedivue
• Assist doctors and technical staff with animal handling and restraint
• Educate clients on pet care and medical needs

Requirements

• Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Proficiency in blood draws and IV catheter placement
• Experience with digital radiology and positioning
• Knowledge of anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Strong laboratory and clinical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary experience
