Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Responsibilities

• Provide professional respiratory therapy care to patients of all ages in a safe and effective manner
• Manage mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation modalities
• Administer medications and utilize various medical equipment as required
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records
• Make sound clinical judgments within the respiratory scope of practice
• Collaborate with staff members and healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain professional accountability and competency through unit-based structures

Requirements

• Current Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License
• Current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Minimum of 2 years of applicable Respiratory Therapy experience
• RQI Provider (BLS) certification (required within 7 days of hire)
• ALS (ACLS) certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• PALS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• NRP certification (required within one year of hire)
