Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing care for residents to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise, mentor, and direct nursing staff, including responding to LPN concerns and managing staffing needs.
• Coordinate resident care by facilitating physician orders, managing IV therapy, and communicating changes in condition to families and medical teams.
• Maintain accurate and complete resident records, including documentation of care, incident reports, and medication administration.
• Monitor resident safety, including responding to falls and managing emergency situations competently.
• Perform administrative duties such as auditing incident reports, monitoring call bell times, and managing 24-hour reports.

Requirements

• Completion of a state-approved Registered Nurse (RN) program.
• Active Pennsylvania (PA) RN license.
• Basic CPR certification.
• Proven supervisory or leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to lift, turn, and reposition residents both alone and with assistance, using mechanical devices when necessary.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience working in a hospital or nursing home setting.
