Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level specialty care for patients within a 24-bed Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU)
• Manage complex medical problems including thrombectomies, post-operative craniotomies, cerebral aneurysms, and intracranial hemorrhages
• Monitor and care for patients with severe head/spinal cord injuries, increased intracranial pressure, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
• Perform specialized tasks such as tracheostomy care/management, doppler usage, and assessing free flaps
• Collaborate with neurosurgery, neurology, stroke, and otolaryngology services to deliver comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience
• Valid ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts on a 36-hour per week schedule with every other weekend rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CCRN certification
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong patient advocate mentality and a collaborative teamwork approach
