Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to critically ill surgical patients and their families
• Manage complex, multi-system health problems in a 48-bed adult cardio-thoracic telemetry step-down unit
• Provide specialized post-operative care for patients undergoing heart valve repairs, CABG, LVAD implants, heart and lung transplants, and various lung or esophageal surgeries
• Participate in essential health activities and clinical coordination within the unit

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN licensure to practice nursing
• One (1) year of Telemetry RN experience
• Ability to work night shifts, including approximately 50% weekend shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Recent ICU or ICU step-down experience
• ACLS or CCRN certification
• Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
