Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level specialty care for patients within a 24-bed Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU)
• Manage complex medical problems including thrombectomies, post-operative craniotomies, cerebral aneurysms, and traumatic brain injuries
• Monitor and assess patients with increased intracranial pressure, spinal cord injuries, and status epilepticus
• Perform specialized tasks such as tracheostomy care, doppler usage, and assessment of free flaps
• Collaborate with neurosurgery, neurology, and stroke services to deliver excellence in patient care

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license
• 1 year of ICU experience
• Valid ACLS certification solely through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts with an every-other-weekend rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• CCRN certification
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong patient advocate mentality and teamwork approach
