Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-intensity, vigilant nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients in a 30-bed monitored ICU
• Perform complex assessments and monitor for subtle changes in patient status to prevent deterioration
• Deliver high-intensity therapies and interventions in a highly stressful environment
• Act as a patient advocate and serve as a liaison between families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Support family-centered care by engaging with parents and providing emotional support

Requirements

• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan
• 12-18 months of current Adult ICU RN experience
• PALS certification (required within six months of hire or prior to end of probationary period)
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy patients/objects for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric nursing experience
• BSN degree
• ACLS certification
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Patient and Family-Centered Care principles
