About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care to complex internal medicine patients in a 32-bed telemetry and general medicine unit
  • Utilize the nursing process to deliver high-quality care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring
  • Direct the supervision of unlicensed personnel
  • Implement standards of care including bedside report, geographical nursing, and hourly rounding
  • Collaborate with Medicine Faculty Hospitalists as the primary admitting service

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license (or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire for Graduate Nurses who have completed NCLEX)
  • Successful completion of the NCLEX
  • A complete and accurate resume must be provided for consideration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum of 6 months of RN experience, preferably in an inpatient setting
  • Previous experience in telemetry or adult internal medicine
  • 3-5 years of experience working with adult internal medicine/MFH patients
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles, such as charge nurse or preceptor
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and professional communication skills
