About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients before and after cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures
- Manage patient care during Phase 1, 2, and 3 of recovery from General Anesthesia, MAC sedation, and IV moderate sedation
- Perform bedside procedures such as Tilt Table Tests
- Coordinate with the healthcare team, including technical staff, physicians, and nursing colleagues from other departments
- Monitor arrhythmias, hemodynamic pressures, and manage emergent cardiac situations
Requirements
- Current nursing licensure in the state of Michigan
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
- At least 2 years of experience in ICU, PACU, or ER within the last 3 years
- ACLS and BLS Certification
- Experience with conscious sedation and airway management
- Experience with Tilt Table Testing and Structural Heart patients
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Previous experience in EP/Cath Lab or caring for Cath/EP patients
- Experience with access site management
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in emergent situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
