About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform telephone triage, including assessment, screening, and clinical advice
  • Provide direct patient care including injections, patient education, and documentation
  • Coordinate care with ancillary services and related departments
  • Provide functional supervision to allied health staff and assistive personnel
  • Perform focused assessments to provide best practice care for patients and families
  • Maintain accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care in electronic health records
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and assist in team member orientation

Requirements

  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan (RN)
  • Three (3) years of RN experience within the last five (5) years in an inpatient adult pulmonary unit or outpatient adult pulmonary clinic
  • Proficiency with MiChart/Epic for inbasket management and documentation of patient encounters
  • Demonstrated experience providing patient and family education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of RN experience with telehealth and phone triage nursing within the last three (3) years
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
