Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in various ambulatory care settings, primarily within the Rogel Cancer Center Clinics.
• Assess patient needs and assist with medical issues related to health concerns.
• Manage clinic flow, including triage/assessment of high acuity patients, medication administration, and responding to emergencies.
• Manage prescription refill requests, secure patient messages, and provide telephone triage.
• Collaborate with providers, multiple disciplines, and assistive personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding chronic conditions, therapy, and procedures.
• Utilize electronic health records to accurately document all health information.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• One (1) year of oncology ambulatory care experience.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to set priorities.
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation and typing.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree.
• OCN certification.
• Ambulatory Care experience with telephone triage/symptom management within the last three years.
• Experience as an Ambulatory Care Float RN.
