About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide acute and moderate care for patients within a specialized 48-bed hospital unit
- Support adult surgical patients undergoing major reconstructive, microvascular, neurosurgical, and orthopedic procedures
- Care for patients following total laryngectomy, tracheostomy, glossectomy, and other head and neck cancer procedures
- Manage care for vascular patients, including those undergoing TAVR and Carotid Endarterectomy
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
- Float to designated units as needed during times of low census
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license
- Successful completion of the NCLEX
- Graduate Nurses (GN) will be considered; must pass the NCLEX for Michigan licensure within 45 days of hire
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- One year of telemetry experience
- Experience and comfort with tracheostomies and suctioning
