About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent nursing care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model
- Apply nursing science, theory, and critical decision-making to patient care within the high-acuity Neurovascular Unit
- Ensure all practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Participate in continuous learning and reflective practice to improve the quality of patient care
- Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to support patients with complex brain and spine conditions
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with computer systems
Preferred Qualifications
- BScN degree
- Experience in neurovascular nursing or acute care
- Cardiac monitoring skills or Coronary Course 1 (CC1) completion
- CNA Neuroscience Certification
- Completion of an Acute Care Certificate Program
