Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent nursing care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model
• Apply nursing science, theory, and critical decision-making to patient care within the high-acuity Neurovascular Unit
• Ensure all practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Participate in continuous learning and reflective practice to improve the quality of patient care
• Engage in multidisciplinary teamwork to support patients with complex brain and spine conditions

Requirements

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer systems

Preferred Qualifications

• BScN degree
• Experience in neurovascular nursing or acute care
• Cardiac monitoring skills or Coronary Course 1 (CC1) completion
• CNA Neuroscience Certification
• Completion of an Acute Care Certificate Program
