Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care in accordance with the UHN Professional Practice Model for Nursing
• Ensure practice is consistent with professional standards and the ethical framework outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Participate in continuing education activities to meet the needs of the patient population and professional standards
• Perform reflective practice to analyze and evaluate nursing knowledge to improve patient care
• Perform cross-functional and other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
• Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course
• Minimum 2 years recent critical care nursing experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Exceptional decision making and problem solving skills
