Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic patient assessment and data collection
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide educational guidance to patients and families
• Document patient records accurately
• Act as a patient advocate to protect and promote rights
• Manage patients with invasive arterial and hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and continuous veno-venous renal therapy dialysis

Requirements

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
• Two years of recent cardiology experience
• Completion of a recognized Critical Care Course
• Previous CICU/ICU experience required
• Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks under pressure

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (A.C.L.S) certification
• B.Sc. N. degree
