About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, collaborative, and competent care in accordance with UHN Professional Practice Model
- Ensure practice is consistent with College of Nurses of Ontario standards and UHN policies
- Perform head to toe assessments
- Administer blood products and intravenous medications via central venous access devices
- Perform chemotherapy administration through the DeSouza Institute
- Participate in continuing education and reflective practice to improve patient care quality
Requirements
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
- Excellent organizational, time management, and computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BScN degree
