Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing science, theory, and critical decision-making to provide compassionate and competent care
• Ensure practice aligns with professional standards and ethical frameworks outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Participate in continuing education and lifelong learning to meet patient population needs
• Perform reflective practice to evaluate and improve nursing knowledge and patient care quality
• Execute cross-functional responsibilities as assigned within the Emergency Department

Requirements

• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary patient care team
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BScN degree
• Coronary Course 1 (CC1)
• Cardiac monitoring skills
• CNA Neuroscience Certification
• Neurovascular or Geriatric experience
• Completion of a recognized Emergency Certificate
