About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, evaluate, and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care for patients and families
- Implement care plans including health promotion for ABI rehabilitation patients
- Educate patients, families, and community providers regarding ABI rehabilitation
- Participate in interprofessional team care planning forums, rounds, and family conferences
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to students and new staff
- Comply with patient safety responsibilities and hospital policies
Requirements
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level) Heart Saver Plus (Canada)
- Strong health assessment skills
- Excellent clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Computer proficiency
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
- Recent experience in ABI rehabilitation
- Knowledge of behavioral management strategies (Everyday Behavior Tools)
