Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, evaluate, and coordinate comprehensive professional nursing care for patients and families
• Implement care plans including health promotion for ABI rehabilitation patients
• Educate patients, families, and community providers regarding ABI rehabilitation
• Participate in interprofessional team care planning forums, rounds, and family conferences
• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to students and new staff
• Comply with patient safety responsibilities and hospital policies

Requirements

• Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level) Heart Saver Plus (Canada)
• Strong health assessment skills
• Excellent clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Computer proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Recent experience in ABI rehabilitation
• Knowledge of behavioral management strategies (Everyday Behavior Tools)
