About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive AOD and nursing assessments
  • Develop and implement person-centred care plans
  • Administer medications and provide health education
  • Coordinate referrals and liaise with relevant healthcare professionals and services
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary care planning
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and practice within scope
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and professional development activities
  • Manage clinical resources and supplies appropriately

Requirements

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
  • Either a postgraduate qualification in AOD (AQF Level 8+) with 5 years of specialty experience, OR 7 years of specialist AOD nursing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in AOD-related nursing care
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong clinical judgement and communication skills
