Registered Nurse Telemetry

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients
• Manage adult patients with respiratory, cardiac, post-surgical, and multiple comorbidity needs
• Monitor patients via remote telemetry and manage continuous IV drips (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix)
• Partner with patients and families to incorporate their goals into the plan of care and develop teaching strategies
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, PT, OT/RT, and other care partners to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke
• Ability to obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
• Must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialty Certification within 2 years of hire
