Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility through medical history interviews, physical examinations, and blood testing
• Manage donor adverse events and evaluate reactions according to established SOPs
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
• Support center operations by following medical and technical guidance from the Center Physician and Medical Affairs
• Manage employee incidents and support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) initiatives
• Assist with vaccination programs and potentially serve as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program
• Current license or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Basic IV therapy certification as required by state licensure
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
• Ability to complete FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists
