Registered Nurse (RN) - Urgent Care

Responsibilities

• Provide and monitor quality patient care in an urgent care environment using the nursing process
• Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, chief complaints, and medication/allergy reviews
• Administer clinical interventions such as IV therapy, drug administration, and other ordered treatments
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers with in-house minor procedures
• Coordinate clinical follow-through for lab work, x-rays, pharmacy, and referrals
• Maintain compliance requirements including laboratory QC management and narcotic counts
• Document all patient information and responses to interventions accurately

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Nevada RN license (or temporary license with ability to obtain permanent)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• PALS certification (required upon hire)
• 2+ years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting (ER, Med/Surg, Critical Care, or Urgent Care)
• Proven expertise in IV skills and Cardiac Telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Demonstrated multi-system assessment and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience charting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
