Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses, and other staff
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
• Interviews, recommends hires, and trains employees
• Plans, assigns, and directs work
• Demonstrates clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities in the facility or assigned units
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the unit(s)
• Promotes and protects resident rights and assists residents in making informed decisions

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Two years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital or nursing care facility
• Minimum of six months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Leadership and supervisory ability
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement programs, goals, and policies
• Successful completion of criminal background check and physical/drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university
• Knowledge of Point Click Care (PCC)
