Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care and outcomes
• Provide direct nursing care utilizing the nursing process and complex nursing skills
• Delegate tasks to other Care Team members according to unit-specific competencies and patient age
• Monitor the quality of patient care and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction
• Serve as a resource, preceptor, mentor, and leader for physicians, professional peers, and fellow employees
• Maintain daily operations of the Patient Care Center effectively and efficiently
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, standards of care, and corporate compliance requirements

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current Illinois RN Licensure or a valid temporary permit to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Acute care or related experience providing nursing care to patients within at least the last five years
