Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients seeking abortion care and support clinical activities including intake, patient education, and recovery.
• Prepare patients for healthcare visits by reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and adhere to OSHA regulations regarding biological matter and instrument sterilization.
• Perform ultrasounds for surgical and medical patients, ensuring satisfactory image quality for gestational purposes.
• Monitor pre- and post-surgical patients in the recovery area, focusing on both medical and emotional needs.
• Educate patients regarding contraception, post-operative instructions, and follow-up exams.
• Maintain accurate patient data in EMR/EHR systems and perform follow-up duties via phone or letter.
• Participate in a rotating on-call program to address patient concerns when health centers are closed.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Compact RN license for Kansas and Missouri.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• Minimum of one year of women's health care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a surgical setting.
• Prior experience with sonography.
• Prior working knowledge of Epic EMR.
• Bilingual skills.

Benefits

• Starting hourly rate of $38.00 per hour.
• $2,500 sign-on bonus payable after 60 days of successful employment.
