Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Unit

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized, goal-directed nursing care for pediatric patients using the nursing process.
• Maintain nursing standards of care and respond to changing workloads and patient conditions through objective assessment and prioritization.
• Transcribe and implement provider orders and treatments accurately and efficiently.
• Identify, evaluate, and report changes in the physical and mental conditions of patients.
• Document all patient encounters and health advice according to organizational standards.
• Provide instruction and education to patients and families regarding medical needs per department protocol.
• Follow strict infection control procedures and coordinate necessary interventions as defined by policy and provider orders.

Requirements

• Current Montana RN license or compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Inpatient nursing experience.
• RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire or before independent patient care.
• PALS certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• APHON certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
