About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide and oversee medical services for a caseload of adult inpatient behavioral health patients
  • Administer medications and educate patients on treatment
  • Monitor patient symptoms, obtain vital signs, and document in patient records
  • Coordinate admission, orientation, and discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Communicate with treatment teams, providers, and outside agencies on treatment and safety issues
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and scope of licensure

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems (KIPU preferred)
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and maintain professional boundaries

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
