Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, other disciplines, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders
• Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for quality care
• Establish realistic, measurable short and long term patient goals with interventions to minimize rehospitalizations
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure tasks are implemented
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts
• Evaluate performance, initiate disciplinary actions, and complete performance evaluations for personnel
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered, active RN license in Pennsylvania
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines for nursing care facilities
• Ability to provide care appropriate to age-related needs of residents
• Leadership and supervisory ability to work with and supervise personnel
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a post-offer criminal background check and physical/drug screen
