Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collaborate with the nursing team, patients, and families to develop effective plans of care
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders
• Plan, organize, and implement programs, goals, and policies necessary for providing quality care
• Delegate patient care responsibilities to staff and supervise them to ensure proper implementation
• Establish realistic, measurable short and long term patient goals to minimize rehospitalizations
• Communicate patient information with assigned staff and between shifts
• Evaluate performance and prepare performance evaluations for personnel
• Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered, active RN license in Pennsylvania
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, and regulations pertaining to nursing care facilities
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents
• Leadership and supervisory ability to work with and supervise other personnel
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and physical/drug screen
