Registered Nurse (RN), Labor and Delivery

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care and outcomes
• Provide direct nursing care and perform complex nursing skills according to unit-specific competencies
• Monitor the quality of patient care and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction
• Serve as a resource, preceptor, mentor, and leader for physicians, professional peers, and other employees
• Manage daily operations of the Patient Care Center to ensure effective and efficient maintenance
• Partner with patient care team members to identify and meet the needs of patients, families, and physicians

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school of nursing
• Current Illinois RN Licensure or a valid temporary permit to practice in the State of Illinois
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous experience in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, or Obstetrics
• At least five years of experience in acute care or related nursing fields
