Registered Nurse - RN

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective training and oversight for the delivery of home dialysis therapies to patients.
• Assess patient and family readiness for home dialysis and evaluate the suitability of the home environment.
• Educate patients and their families regarding End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), renal dialysis, and home therapy equipment maintenance.
• Monitor patient responses to home dialysis treatments and communicate issues to physicians as needed.
• Manage medical documentation, including physician orders, lab results, vital signs, and treatment parameters.
• Coordinate the collection, packaging, and delivery of laboratory specimens in compliance with regulations.
• Maintain competency in operating and troubleshooting home dialysis therapy-related equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and staff training/orientation as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN).
• Current and appropriate state nursing licensure.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Demonstrated teaching and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Experience in ICU or critical care settings.
• Previous experience in dialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
• Training in ICD-9 coding.
