About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with physicians to assess, design, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care and outcomes
- Provide complex nursing care and delegate tasks to care team members according to unit-specific competencies
- Monitor the quality of patient care and ensure high levels of patient satisfaction
- Serve as a resource, preceptor, mentor, and leader for physicians, professional peers, and other employees
- Maintain daily operations of the Patient Care Center effectively and efficiently
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, standards of care, and corporate compliance requirements
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's (ADN)
- Current Illinois RN Licensure or a valid temporary permit to practice nursing in the State of Illinois
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with Healthcare Provider Recognition
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in an Emergency Department (ED)
