Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assessing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status using age-specific data.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Perform and document ongoing assessments, including physical examinations and monitoring of laboratory/test results.
• Utilize the Relationship-Based Care Professional Practice Model to guide interactions with patients, families, and staff.
• Prioritize nursing interventions and utilize SBAR format for effective verbal and written communication.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes.
• Participate in nursing practice quality initiatives and unit-based council activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing (or enrollment in an RN-BSN/MSN program within one year of hire).
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year of acute care RN experience or successful completion of the Eisenhower Nurse Residency Program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Emergency Room or a related specialty area.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
