Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise high-quality nursing care tailored to individual resident needs
• Monitor, assess, and evaluate the health and well-being of residents
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and controlled drugs in line with NMC standards
• Develop, implement, and review person-centred care plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide leadership and supervision to care staff, including Healthcare Assistants
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication administration records (MAR)
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding policies, and health and safety standards
• Liaise with GPs, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC Pin
• Proven experience in a clinical or nursing home setting
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the NMC Code of Practice
• Proficient medication administration skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to elderly care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in elderly or dementia care
• Additional clinical qualifications or specialist training
• Experience in care plan management and auditing
