Registered Nurse - RN - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality hemodialysis therapy and direct patient care in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Assess daily patient needs, develop care assignments, and delegate tasks to Patient Care Technicians and other support staff.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in coordination with physicians.
• Educate patients and families regarding End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), vascular access, diet, fluid compliance, and medication.
• Manage clinical documentation, including nursing assessments, physician orders, and lab results within the Medical Information System.
• Ensure a safe and sanitary treatment environment, including the proper handling of medical equipment and biohazardous materials.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities and staff training/orientation.
• Travel to various clinics within the Hawaii region, including Guam, as required by assignment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• Valid CPR Certification.
• Ability to travel off-island and to Guam for assignments (minimum 1 month at a time).
• Ability to pass Ishihara's Color Blindness test.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, moving patients, and standing for prolonged periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Previous experience in hemodialysis or ICU settings.
• Completion of specialized training in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
