About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for behavioral health patients in a safe and therapeutic environment
- Gather data through history taking and physical assessment to develop and revise patient care plans
- Administer medications and provide direct patient care
- Document care provided and track patient progress toward desired outcomes
- Lead the healthcare team and serve as a resource person for the assigned night shift
- Direct and supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and other unlicensed personnel
- Educate patients and their families regarding care plans and discharge preparation
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New Hampshire Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- One year of prior clinical nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
