Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality general/psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for psychiatric or emotional disorders
• Support the hospital and program philosophy of care
• Ensure the well-being of patients
• Organize activities and schedules for medical and non-medical tasks for child, adolescent, or adult populations

Requirements

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card
• Knowledge of abnormal psychology and medical terminology related to psychiatric care
• Familiarity with psycho-pharmacy and psychotropic medications
• Crisis intervention skills
• Ability to obtain Therapeutic Options Training (TOT)
• Weekend availability required
