About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical reviews including HEDIS/QARR, DOH requests, and prenatal/postpartum reporting
- Perform retrospective medical record reviews to retrieve data for quality measures
- Abstract data from medical records and ensure data integrity
- Identify improvement opportunities and conduct barrier analysis to develop interventions
- Perform telephonic outreach to members and educate providers on identified measures
- Comply with CMS guidelines and other regulatory agency requirements
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license in NY
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 2 or more years of managed care experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of ICD coding
- Experience in Quality Management, Case Management, or Utilization Management
