Registered Nurse - Primary Health

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred, high-quality primary healthcare services within an onshore Immigration Detention network
• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop care plans to improve patient wellbeing
• Perform clinical procedures including immunisations, blood collection, and wound management
• Administer medications and provide health promotion and education to detainees
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and respectful care that honours the dignity and culture of all individuals

Requirements

• AHPRA-registered Nurse (General, unrestricted registration)
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in AOD (non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health
• OR a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an AOD Registered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification
