About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred, high-quality healthcare to individuals in detention
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and care planning
- Perform clinical procedures including immunisations, blood collection, and wound management
- Administer medications and evaluate patient health outcomes
- Provide health promotion and education to detainees
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
- AHPRA Registered Nurse (General unrestricted registration)
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
- Proven experience in hands-on patient care in an operational setting (non-Telehealth)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing circumstances
