Registered Nurse - PACU/DSU

Responsibilities

• Manage the smooth admission and discharge of patients in the Day Surgery Unit, ensuring all protocols and patient safety standards are met
• Provide expert care to patients recovering from anesthesia in an ambulatory setting, closely monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to complications
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the Cerner electronic medical records system
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and follow-up procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care coordination
• Adhere to strict infection control practices to maintain a safe and sterile environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification nursing experience
• Valid DOH, DHA, or MOH license
• Valid BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working specifically within a Day Surgery Unit (DSU)
