Registered Nurse Outpatient

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Coordinate care delivery and evaluate progress toward patient outcomes
• Direct care and determine appropriate utilization of assistants in patient care
• Involve patients and families in care, including teaching and discharge planning
• Perform patient care in a manner that optimizes safety and reduces medical errors
• Assess and reassess pain using appropriate management techniques and education
• Demonstrate effective hand-offs to the next healthcare provider

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
• One year of experience in a similar role
• CPR - Basic Life Support (AHA)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - can be completed within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of experience in pediatric nursing
• Outpatient clinic nursing experience
• Orthopaedic nursing experience
