Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing science, theory, and critical decision-making to provide compassionate and competent care
• Ensure practice aligns with professional standards and the ethical framework of the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Participate in continuing education and lifelong learning to meet patient population needs
• Perform reflective practice to evaluate and improve nursing knowledge and patient care quality
• Execute cross-functional responsibilities as assigned within the multi-disciplinary team

Requirements

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Completion of a recognized Operating Room (Perioperative) course
• 2-4 years of current Operating Room experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and multi-tasking

Preferred Qualifications

• B.Sc.N. degree
