About the role

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a six-month operating room orientation program involving classroom, laboratory, and patient care settings
  • Develop specialized skills and knowledge required for perioperative nursing roles
  • Work 40 hours per week on a Day/Evening shift rotation
  • Fulfill call and weekend/holiday obligations as required
  • Maintain a 30-minute response time for call commitments

Requirements

  • Current Michigan RN license (or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire for Graduate Nurses)
  • Successful completion of the NCLEX
  • Commitment to a two-year work period in the Pavilion OR
  • Ability to meet call requirements with a 30-minute response time
  • Submission of a complete and accurate resume

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Previous experience in an Operating Room setting
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stress, conflict, and resolution
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to work with a non-responsive patient population
