About the role

Responsibilities

  • Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to the multidisciplinary team
  • Administer medications and engage in patient education
  • Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain safety in volatile situations
  • Coordinate admissions, orientations, and discharge planning with patients and families
  • Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Obtain vital signs, monitor symptoms, and assess ongoing patient needs
  • Document medical assessments, diagnoses, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner
  • Oversee quality assurance and compliance activities and provide medical updates for utilization review

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Colorado
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
  • Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU preferred)
  • Ability to work with a diverse patient population and maintain professional boundaries
  • Must maintain applicable state licensure throughout employment

  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Patient service orientation and creative problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
