About the role
Responsibilities
- Interact with patients, observe behaviors, and communicate significant observations to the multidisciplinary team
- Administer medications and engage in patient education
- Utilize de-escalation skills to maintain safety in volatile situations
- Coordinate admissions, orientations, and discharge planning with patients and families
- Consult with the multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans
- Obtain vital signs, monitor symptoms, and assess ongoing patient needs
- Document medical assessments, diagnoses, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner
- Oversee quality assurance and compliance activities and provide medical updates for utilization review
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Colorado
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU preferred)
- Ability to work with a diverse patient population and maintain professional boundaries
- Must maintain applicable state licensure throughout employment

- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Patient service orientation and creative problem-solving ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
