Registered Nurse Night Float

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, and administering treatment
• Conduct initial intake assessments and discharge reconciliation/education
• Administer medications via multiple routes and manage provider orders
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point of care testing
• Maintain nasogastric tubes, enteral feeding, intravenous access, and wound care
• Document all direct patient care and observations in the electronic medical record
• Supervise and delegate care to LPNs and Behavioral Health Technicians
• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to implement individualized plans
• Respond to emergency situations

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse License in the state of position
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Weekend availability required
• Ability to float between Bellevue and Seattle, WA sites

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working with patients in the mental health field
