Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in various ambulatory care settings, primarily within the Rogel Cancer Center Clinics.
• Assess patient needs, manage medical issues, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Manage prescription refill requests and secure patient communications.
• Triage and assess high-acuity patients, manage medication administration, and respond to clinic emergencies.
• Perform port maintenance and provide therapy and procedural education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including providers, infusion, scheduling, and lab management, to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel and manage daily clinic operations.
• Utilize electronic health records to accurately document all health information and patient education.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 18 months of oncology RN experience within the last five (5) years.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree.
• OCN certification.
• Ambulatory Care experience, including telephone triage and symptom management within the last three years.
• Experience as an Ambulatory Care Float RN.
