About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, person-centred mental health care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment.
- Promote culturally sensitive, safe, and respectful care that upholds the dignity and rights of people in detention.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mental health services through policy development and quality initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.
Requirements
- AHPRA-registered Nurse with unrestricted general registration.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Registered Nurse in mental health (non-telehealth) plus a post-graduate qualification in mental health.
- OR a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Mental Health Registered Nurse without a post-graduate qualification.
